What became of the dear little poet?

Who no longer had a rhythm

or a melody in his quiver?

What became of the little cupid?

Unable to choose to whom he would

deliver his flowing arrows of love?

Cupid and poet, both child-like and blind,

trying to make beauty out of the accidents left behind,

crafting them like treasures,

mistakes turned divine.

The struggle and the sweat

to the reader becomes wine.

What sad, pitiful jobs they have.

Constantly touching those

not meant to be ruptured.

Like ants carrying giant knives,

contraptions they cannot wield or devise.

Watch out, dear reader, for they are deadly sharp

and if not carefully considered,

they may be your own demise.
